For several decades KwaZulu-Natal, a province at southafricas eastcoast, has installed gill nets to protect its beaches against big sharks, like the great white, tiger or zambesis. This very inefective method represents a threat not only to small sharks but also to dolphines, turtels and other species, that get killed due to this archaic method with only 12% of targeted animals to count. This site also hostes a petition to set an end to this outdated method, so please be so kind to help and spare some minutes of your precious time to sign this petition.
